The Prof. Herbert Onye Orji (O O N) Foundation actively engages with our partners, deeply immersing ourselves in the areas where we invest. Our initiatives are carefully crafted to foster learning, ignite innovation, and inspire positive change in our communities.

Our foundation primarily directs its investments to organizations within Nigeria. We prioritize entities that align with our mission and contribute to the betterment of our communities.  The Prof. Herbert Onye Orji Foundation focuses its grants on projects and initiatives that advance education, youth empowerment, skill acquisition, community development, and entrepreneurship.

Our team actively seeks and builds relationships with innovative organizations, scholars, and grant seeks. Invitations for funding proposals are extended to those whose work closely aligns with our mission and goals. While most grants are initiated through invitations, we also welcome inquiries from organizations whose activities resonate with our current strategies. Since 2012, Herbert Onye Orji Foundation has been deeply immersed in the vision of Prof. Herbert Onye Orji (O O N), striving to transform Nigerian communities through education, mentorship, and entrepreneurship.

Program staff carefully review all inquiries and generally respond within eight weeks. 

Yes, we occasionally issue open calls for proposals, which will be posted on our website and social media channels. You may also sign up our emails to be notified when one of our programs issues an open call.
With the exception of open calls for concepts or proposals, Herbert Onye Orji Foundation invites and accepts grant proposals on a rolling basis. Open calls for proposals generally have a set application deadline, which will be included in the announcement and application guidelines.
Most invited proposals go through some revision before they are finalized. Herbert Onye Orji Foundation staff will work with you throughout the process. Once a proposal is finalized, it will be recommended for approval by our Trustees or Officers.
It generally takes up to eight weeks for our staff to respond to inquiries for funding. A portion of inquiries will be invited to submit a proposal.
