The Herbert Onye Orji Foundation (HOOF) aims to ensure every aspiring graduate completes higher education and earns a degree, joining the professional workforce. Through our need-based grants, financial aid can make your education more affordable by helping cover part of the student’s tuition fees and assisting with costs like textbooks and housing. By providing gift aid and grants, financial aid can enable more students from low-income backgrounds to attend school and pursue higher education. Improved education leads to a more skilled and productive workforce, which in turn attracts investment, stimulates innovation, and creates employment opportunities.

The Prof. Herbert Onye Orji Foundation is dedicated to supporting individuals through our grant programs. We welcome applications directly from individuals seeking assistance in various areas. While we primarily issue grants to individuals, we also support regranting programs that have a positive impact on individuals.
Our grant application process is designed to be inclusive and accessible. If you are an individual looking for support, we encourage you to submit your application through our Grants form. The Foundation reviews applications on a rolling basis, and we strive to provide assistance to those in need.
Please note that we do not consider unsolicited proposals, and all grants are initiated through the Foundation’s invitation to specific individuals or organizations. If you have any questions or need guidance during the application process, our program staff is available to assist you.
