Emmanuel Orji Skills Solution Center

Skills development is a transformative tool for sustainable economic growth and social mobility.

The Hebert Onye Orji Foundation (HOOF) is building a skills solution center for an underprivileged community in Abia State with the purpose of providing young adults and graduates, primarily between the ages of 17 – 27, with access to essential training and educational resources. This center aims to empower community members by helping them develop practical skills needed for employment, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. By addressing barriers such as lack of opportunity and resources, the organization strives to foster economic independence and improve overall quality of life within the community.

The center will provide training in high-demand fields (e.g., technology, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare), leading to better job placements. It will also function as an Internet café for computer use and a learning center to acquire basic or foundational software skills. The Emmanuel Orji Skills Solution Center will act as a hub in Amaokwe, Item and its surrounding communities for economic and personal empowerment, providing tailored training that bridges the gap between local talent and labor market demands. This center offers various benefits, ranging from increased employment rates to enhanced social cohesion.

The main goal is to equip young adults with the skills and confidence they need to venture out into the job market, promoting economic self-sufficiency.

The Emmanuel Orji Skills Solution Center Training & Empowerment Program provides access to:

Vocational and technical training

Digital and ICT skills certification

Entrepreneurship development support
